Because Tamarindo doesn’t have its own weather station we provide accurate weather information of the nearby city of Santa Cruz. This is only a 15-30 minute drive from Tamarindo. Because Santa Cruz is more inlands the wind speeds aren’t accurate for the surf report of Tamarindo, wind should be a little bit stronger here so watch out surfers!
We don’t want to brag but Tamarindo is in the top destinations of Central America and Costa Rica. If you don’t know why well we will tell you!
Firstly, over one million reviewers at TripAdvisor.com have chosen Tamarindo 4th best destination in Central America in 2013.
Secondly, Lonely Planet is calling Tamarindo the top surf and party destination of Costa Rica. Mainly because Tamarindo has the most developed beach, many hotels, bars and restaurants.
